Pin your most-used tabs

Keep the tabs you open constantly right at the top of your sidebar. One click on the pin icon and they stay there — no more scrolling past everything else to reach Conversations for the tenth time today.

What it is

Pinning moves a sidebar tab to a dedicated section at the top of your menu, above everything else. Pinned tabs stay put no matter how long your sidebar gets — so the pages you live in are always one click away.

It's a small thing, but if you open Conversations 40 times a day, having it pinned at the top saves real time and mental overhead.

Note — this is a per-user setting

Your pins are yours. Pinning a tab doesn't change what anyone else on your team sees. Everyone can pin whatever suits their own role.

Pin a tab

1. Hover over the tab and click the pin icon

Hover over any sidebar tab and a small pin icon appears on the right. Click it to pin that tab.

In this example, Conversations gets pinned — it jumps up into the pinned section at the top of the sidebar.

2. Pin as many as you need

Pin any other tabs the same way. Here Emails is pinned too, so both Conversations and Emails now sit at the top of the sidebar together.

Pins save automatically — no separate save button. The sidebar updates instantly.

Unpin a tab

To unpin, hover over the pinned tab and click the same pin icon again. The tab drops back into its normal spot in the sidebar. Nothing is lost — it's just no longer at the top.

What to pin, by role

Good starting points depending on what you do all day:

Role

Worth pinning

Dispatcher

Conversations, Calendar, Live Location.

Field technician

Calendar, Leads, Invoices.

Sales / Estimator

Leads, Estimates, Conversations.

Bookkeeper

Invoices, Payments.

Manager / Owner

Reports, Conversations, Calendar.

Tip — pinning and sidebar customization work together

First customize your sidebar to hide the modules you never use. Then pin your top 2–4 from what's left. That combination gets you the tightest, fastest sidebar possible.

Things to know

Situation

What happens

You pin several tabs

They all sit in the pinned section at the top, in the order you pinned them.

You hide a tab in sidebar settings while it's pinned

The hidden tab disappears from the sidebar entirely, pin included. Unhide it and the pin comes back.

You sign in on a different device

Your pins follow your user account, so the same tabs are pinned everywhere you sign in.

A teammate pins different tabs

Only affects their sidebar. Pins are per-user.
