Manage Team Assignments

Group agents into teams for shared queues, dashboards, and reporting.

Written by Sophia Martinez

Teams group your agents for shared work: phone queues, dashboards, reporting, and permission inheritance. An agent can belong to multiple teams.

1. Open Team Assignments

You'll find Teams (or Team Assignments) under Settings. The page lists every team you've defined plus the form to create new ones.

2. Add agents to an existing team

Each team has its own row. Click into an existing team to add or remove members. Teams are how Joby groups agents for shared phone queues, shared dashboards, and permission inheritance.

2

3. Pick the agents from the dropdown

Select every agent who belongs to this team. Agents can be on multiple teams at once — useful for cross-functional dispatchers and supervisors.

3

4. Or create a new team

Click Create Team to spin up a fresh group. Common patterns: by function (Sales, Dispatch, Field), by region (NYC team, LA team), or by service (HVAC team, Plumbing team).

4

5. Name your new team

Use a name that's clear at a glance. The team name appears wherever team assignment is referenced — call routing, reporting, the agent's dashboard.

5

6. Save the team

Save creates the team. It's empty until you add members in the next step.

6

7. Add agents to the new team

Same picker as before — select the agents who belong. You can do this immediately after creating the team or come back later.

7

8. Save Members

Click Save to commit the membership. Team assignments take effect immediately for routing, dashboards, and reporting.
