Adding a client takes about 20 seconds. Once a client exists in Joby, you can create jobs, send estimates and invoices, track every call and message, and see their full history in one place.
1. Click New Client
You'll find the New Client button in the top right of the Clients page.
2. Enter the client's last name
Last name is required because Joby sorts and searches clients by it. First name goes in the field above.
3. Enter the company name
Optional, but fill this in if the client is a business, property manager, or landlord. The company name shows on invoices and helps with bookkeeping.
4. Enter the email address
Estimates, invoices, reminders, and review requests all go to this email. Double-check the spelling before saving.
5. Enter the phone number
This is the number Joby uses for SMS messaging and the number that shows up when you call the client. Mobile numbers work best.
6. Click Create to save
The client is now saved and ready. You can immediately create a job, send an estimate, or log a call against them.
