Upload and Manage Job Documents

Attach contracts, signed estimates, before-and-after photos, permits, or any other file directly to a job in Joby.

Written by Sophia Martinez

Every job in Joby has its own Documents tab where you can attach contracts, signed estimates, before-and-after photos, permits, and any other file tied to that job. Documents are visible to everyone with access to the job, including techs on the mobile app, so the people doing the work always have what they need.

1. Open the Jobs page

Click Jobs in the left sidebar to see all your active and past jobs. You can also reach a job from a client's profile or from the dashboard.

2. Open the job

Click the job ID for the job you want to attach files to. Each job has its own page with tabs for Activity, Time, Details, and Documents.

2

3. Open the Documents tab

The Documents tab is where every file linked to this job lives. You'll see existing uploads here, and this is where you add new ones.

3

4. Click Upload to start

Hit Upload to begin attaching a file. Joby accepts PDFs, images (JPG, PNG, HEIC), Word and Excel files, and most common formats.

4

5. Name the document and save

Give the file a name your team will recognize, like "Signed contract", "Before photo - kitchen", or "Permit #4521". A good name beats hunting through generic filenames later.

5

6. Confirm the upload

Click Upload again to commit the file. It's now attached to the job and visible to anyone with access, including the assigned technician on their phone.

6

7. Add photos and files directly

You can also drag photos straight onto this area or use the upload button to add multiple files at once. This is the fastest way for techs to upload a batch of before-and-after photos from a single job.
